Products and Services
Science and Engineering Education:
A significant portion of our business has become
the development of conceptual
learning systems in science and engineering with an emphasis in methods
supporting the needs of pre-college students.
Multimedia computer applications:
The development and production of
interactive multimedia materials to address the specific needs of the
end users. CAI supports a multimedia computer laboratory of Apple, PC
and SGI workstations utilized for color graphics, animation, video
processing and CFD research.
Project Management:
The development and delivery of system and
implementation plans, as well as consulting and providing management
support for mechanical and aerospace engineering applications.
Computational Fluid Dynamics:
Computational mathematical model support for a wide range of
sports, mechanical and aerospace simulations including
all regimes of air and
water flow. Research and
development into performance enhancements in grid generation and flow
solvers is supported internally. CAI's engineering and research
specialty is Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). CFD has been likened
to a "portable wind tunnel". Prior to the 1960's scientists
and engineers had two methods of studying the
flow of fluid (liquid or gas) around a vehicle (aircraft,
spacecraft, submarine, heart pump) which was through
experimentation and theory. With the advent of powerful
computers it has become possible to simulate these
flows based on a set of rigorous mathematical equations.
CFD results should match existing experimental
data and predict flows that have not been created experimentally.
